It’s impressive sure, but how did this happen? In their first formalized Annual Fund Campaign, STS achieved amazing results given the School’s philanthropic history. This session will share what worked, what didn’t, what changed, and where we are now.

Jeff McGuinness is the Associate Director of Advancement at Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. At STS he has introduced a dynamic and interactive website and online communications program, and manages the parents’ annual fund. In 2003-04 the Advancement Office at STS was awarded CCAE’s Prix d’Excellence for Best Independent School/Small Shop, and Jeff received the Mark Young Award from CASE District VIII. Prior to arriving at STS, Jeff managed Alumni Relations at Crescent School in Toronto. Jeff serves on the executive of the Canadian Association of Independent Schools’ Advancement Professionals (CAISAP), and on the Calgary Chapter of AFP. Jeff holds a degree in Marketing from Bowling Green State University (Ohio) and a certificate in International Business from L’Ecole Superior du Commerce in Nantes, France.
