Surviving Leadership Change
While our Development Directors are chomping at the philanthropy bit to get out on front of competing charities in the race of the century, our institutions are facing presidential, trustee and chancellor turnovers that can result in a series of stumbling blocks. In this session you will hear a panel of senior development administrators address this issue and suggest some means of avoiding and overcoming such senior personnel obstacles.

Building and Enhancing Personal Solicitation Skills
You are meeting with your prospect to ask for the gift. How do you structure the meeting? How do you present your case? How do you make your request? This session reviews the elements of an effective solicitation meeting.

Handling Objections and Closing the Gift
In many instances, the prospect will voice one or more issues that stand in the way of making a commitment. What can you learn from these objections and how can you turn them into opportunities to get the gift?
